Yeti AS-R 5 Carbon Pro XTR Bike '11 -

Yeti AS-R 5 Carbon Pro XTR Bike '11 - $6,600.00

No longer will you need tosacrifice speed for versatility; the ASR 5 Pro XTR bike offers the tight, fasthandling of an XC race bike with the plushness and versatility of an allmountain rig. At the heart of the bike is an Active Suspension (AS)frame design, soaking up the rough stuff and transferring power from thepedals to the rear wheel without a loss of energy. The frame is constructed of high modulus, hand laid-up carbon fiber, giving it a stunningappearance while adding strength and stiffness at a very low weight.

Thedirvetrain offers smooth and consistent shifting even under the harshestconditions thanks to its wide range Shimano XTR 10 speed set up. You'll be able to climb with ease and sprint out of the saddle withoutrunning out of gear. Speed is useless without control, that'swhy you'll also find XTR disc brakes at the wheels. Theyoffer an unparalleled combination of power, modulation and lowweight.

On the trail you'll feel as if you're drivinga vehicle with sport-tuned suspension. It's balanced and perfectlytuned. The low bottom bracket and neutral steering geometry keep thebike controlled and predictable when you bring it up to speed and carvesturns extremely well. If you have been holding on to your hardtail orshort travel bike because you worry about compromising efficiency orweight, you need to get an ASR 5. It'll change your world
